Kickoff Story
SaaS company, Informatica, enlisted the help of KCI to help them manage and breathe new life into their annual multi-day sales kickoff program, hosting hundreds of employees. The program had been going on for many years, but this would be the first live kickoff in 3 years. The company’s new Head of Global Events had a particular interest in making a splash with the program, this being her first kickoff with the company. Having worked with KCI on programs and events in her previous role, she immediately reached out to get her A-team involved. She knew she could trust the KCI team to create and manage an impressive and seamless program.
KCI was brought in to coordinate and manage operations, uniting the many teams involved to support the needs of the agenda, expertly handling last-minute changes, and elevating audience experience at every turn. After a successful first year, KCI has continued to be a trusted partner, working with Informatica to make the program even better each year.
The kickoff program needed to deliver on a variety of goals, including bringing the leadership teams together, reviewing and establishing goals for the year, and reinvigorating their sales teams for the new year. KCI was brought in to coordinate and manage operations, including space management, production teams, food and beverage, and sponsorship fulfilment. We worked hard to build relationships and unite the many teams involved to support the needs of the agenda, expertly handled last-minute changes, and elevated audience experience at every turn to deliver an outstanding program for guests.

Last-minute adjustments are to be expected when it comes to company kick off programs. These programs are often held at the beginning of a new fiscal year, a time when companies experience budget changes and organizational changes that can impact various components of the program, including guest capacity, space management, and agenda.
When last-minute changes were required for Informatica’s kick off program, KCI thrived on the challenge, using the strong internal relationships we had built with the teams involved to coordinate and manage the addition of guests, meeting spaces, and other accommodations in the final stretch before the program to make sure everything came together for a flawless audience experience.
